FRENCH PRESS
French Press, one of the oldest and most common brewing types, has generally been the first choice of home users. It has been in our lives for years as an easily applicable and enjoyable brewing method.
- Grind 30 g of coffee beans to a thick consistency.
Tip : You should be able to feel the parts easily in your hand. - Warm up the French Press by filling it with hot water. This process will make brewing easier and ensure the coffee stays warm.
- After waiting a while, pour out the water and pour the ground coffee into the French Press. Place it on your scale and reset it.
- If you do not have a temperature-controlled kettle, you can boil your water and let it sit for 1 minute. During this period, the temperature of the water will drop to 94 degrees.
- After your water is ready, start pouring the water until the scale shows 500 ml, soaking all the coffees.
- Set the stopwatch for 4 minutes and start.
Tip : Look around your French Press to make sure all the coffee is soaked. If you see a dry spot, pour water more aggressively into that area. - After completing the water to 500 ml, close the lid of the French Press without pressing it. When 4 minutes are up, remove the lid, stir the coffee from the surface 3-4 times and gently cover it with the lid again.
- When the 6 minutes are up, begin to gently press the lid down.
Tip : If you have a hard time pressing it, it means you have ground your coffee too finely. - You can pour the brewed coffee into another carafe. In this way, you will end the brewing and prevent the formation of bitter tastes.
Your coffee is ready, enjoy it!
